A New Era of Multiplayer Action

Call of Duty Black Ops 7 is set to release on November 14 across PC, PlayStation, and Xbox, and Activision has now revealed full details of its multiplayer offering. From classic 6v6 matches to large scale 20v20 battles, the game is set to deliver one of the most diverse multiplayer launches in the franchise’s history. The excitement begins early, with players getting a chance to try the beta starting in October.

Beta Access and Early Play

The beta for Black Ops 7 will run across all platforms. Players who pre ordered the game will get early access beginning October 2, while the open beta for everyone else starts on October 5 and runs until October 8. This will give fans a hands on experience with several of the core maps and the brand new Overload mode before launch.

Maps and Modes at Launch

At release, Black Ops 7 will feature 18 multiplayer maps in total. Sixteen of these are 6v6 core maps, with two larger Skirmish maps designed for 20v20 battles complete with vehicles, wingsuits, and large scale objectives. Six of the maps will be playable during the beta, including Blackheart, Cortex, Exposure, Imprint, The Forge, and Toshin.

In addition to new maps like Colossus, Den, Flagship, Homestead, Paranoia, Retrieval, and Scar, the game will also revive fan favorite maps from Black Ops 2 such as Express, Hijacked, and Raid. The Skirmish mode introduces two massive maps, Mission Edge and Mission Tide, crafted for players who thrive in chaotic large scale warfare.

Game Modes and Features

The game will include a wide selection of modes at launch. Alongside familiar favorites like Team Deathmatch, Domination, Hardpoint, Kill Confirmed, and Search and Destroy, players will also get access to Gunfight, Control, Kill Order, Free For All, and four additional alternate modes. The highlight is the new 6v6 mode Overload, where teams compete to take control of a device in the heat of battle.

Activision has also teased a variety of gameplay improvements and new features. These include updated perks and field upgrades, the Overclock system, redesigned loadouts, and fresh score streaks. Movement options such as wall jumps and tactical sprint add more fluidity to combat, ensuring fast paced and dynamic gunplay.

What’s Next

Fans can expect even more updates during the Call of Duty Next livestream on September 30, where Activision will share details not only about multiplayer but also Zombies and Warzone. With the beta just around the corner and launch day set for November 14, Black Ops 7 is positioning itself as one of the biggest shooters of the year.
