A Packed October Update

Clash Royale players are in for a treat as Supercell prepares to roll out the October 2025 update. This patch introduces new Evolutions, seasonal Lucky Chests, a major change to the Champion cycle, and quality-of-life improvements that refresh both gameplay and rewards. With multiple tweaks across the board, this update feels like one of the most impactful in recent months.

New Evolutions To Master

The update introduces two powerful Evolutions that will shake up the meta. Royal Ghost Evolution summons two spectral soldiers who join the fight as soon as the card spawns, protecting the spirit of the Royal Ghost as it materializes. On the other hand, Skeleton Army Evolution is led by General Gerry, who makes all Skeletons invisible and indestructible while alive. Once defeated, Gerry takes his army down with him. These changes not only add strategic depth but also open up creative deck-building opportunities.

Lucky Chests Replace Lucky Drops

Lucky Drops will officially be replaced with Lucky Chests, bringing new seasonal spins with better rewards. There are three versions to look forward to. Common Lucky Chests grant cards and gold, Magic Lucky Chests add cosmetics and magic items into the mix, and Seasonal Lucky Chests provide exclusive rewards tied to each season’s theme. For October, Haunted Lucky Chests and Phantom Lucky Chests will be available, offering seasonal cards, Evolution shards, and cosmetics. Rewards also operate on a guaranteed system, meaning the more chests you open in a season, the better your rewards get.

Champion Cycle Rework

Perhaps the biggest change comes to Champion cards. For the first time, players can now have more than one Champion in the Arena at once. The rules have been carefully balanced: only the most recently placed Champion will have an active ability, and a crown icon will mark which Champion is currently empowered. This change adds a fresh layer of tactical depth and could lead to entirely new strategies at higher levels of play.

Quality Of Life Improvements

Supercell has also introduced several smaller but important updates. Daily rewards are now standardized, with every player receiving four Magic Lucky Chests. The game mode switcher has been refined, with clearer labels for new events and easier access to Training Camp and tournaments. Bug fixes have also been rolled out, ensuring smoother gameplay. Key fixes include charging troops no longer attacking instantly after being interrupted, adjustments to Monk’s abilities, and tweaks to Mega Knight’s interactions with evolved cards.

The Bigger Picture

The October update continues Supercell’s strategy of keeping Clash Royale dynamic with new mechanics, seasonal events, and community-focused fixes. The arrival of new Evolutions, a reworked Champion system, and guaranteed seasonal rewards ensures that both casual players and competitive veterans have something exciting to look forward to.

Clash Royale remains one of the most innovative mobile titles, and this update is proof that the game still has plenty of new tricks up its sleeve.
