PlayStation 5 owners, buckle up   the next three months are about to be pure chaos in the best possible way. If you thought 2025 had already been a good year for gaming, Sony is about to unleash a tidal wave of new titles that could go down as one of the most legendary streaks in console history. From triple A juggernauts to surprise day one PS Plus drops, the PS5’s library is about to explode in size and quality, leaving players with one problem   how on earth do you find time to play all of them?

August kicks things off with a bang. Sports fans get their fix early with Madden NFL 26 on August 14, but that’s just the warm-up. The beautifully atmospheric Sword of the Sea lands on August 19 as a day one PS Plus Extra game. Then, in a move that would have been unthinkable years ago, Xbox-published Gears of War: Reloaded arrives on PS5 on August 26. Just two days later, fans can relive one of the most iconic stealth action experiences ever with Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater. And as if that wasn’t enough, August 29 drops a double bomb with Lost Soul Aside and Shinobi: Art of Vengeance. That’s not a month, that’s a full-on gaming festival.

But September is where the madness truly begins. The month opens with the mysterious action adventure Hell is Us on September 4, followed by the unstoppable sports juggernaut NBA 2K26 just a day later. From there, it’s a relentless onslaught   Borderlands 4 and NHL 26 on September 12, Frostpunk 2 on September 18, Dying Light: The Beast on September 19, and a horror double blow with Silent Hill f and Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds on September 25. Then comes EA Sports FC 26 on September 26 and Final Fantasy Tactics: The Ivalice Chronicles on September 30 to close the month. By this point, PS5 players will already be buried under a mountain of must-plays, but October says, “Hold my controller.”

October fires off with Ghost of Yotei on October 2, a first-party showcase title that could define the PS5’s holiday season. The next day brings Digimon Story: Time Stranger, before Battlefield 6 and Little Nightmares 3 arrive together on October 10. Then, out of nowhere, Ninja Gaiden 4 slices its way onto PS5 on October 21, followed by the massive open world RPG The Outer Worlds 2 on October 29. The final days of the month are a rapid-fire blast   ARC Raiders and Dragon Quest 1 & 2 HD-2D Remake on October 30, and Mina the Hollower on October 31 to wrap up the insanity.

Sony has not even revealed the full November and December lineup yet, but if this momentum carries through, the PS5’s end-of-year schedule could become one of the most stacked in gaming history. For anyone who already owns a PS5, it’s going to be pure heaven. For those still on last gen, this is the point where the FOMO becomes unbearable.

One thing is certain   if you have a PS5, clear your calendar, make room on your SSD, and prepare to game like never before. This hot streak could be the moment that cements the PlayStation 5 as one of the greatest consoles ever made.
